1 Distinctive character of trademarks and related institutes in the light of European Union law Abstract The topic of this rigorous thesis is Distinctive character of trademarks and related institutes in the light of European Union law. Trademarks have become an indispensable aspect in commercial relations. Every successful entrepreneur should invest in and protect his goods or services by means of trademarks. Trademarks are a very effective tool that can provide information that enables consumers to make informed choices about the products and services that are protected by trademarks. However, in order for a trademark to be registered and thus provide the required protection, it must have sufficient distinctive character to enable it to distinguish the goods or services of one entity from those of another. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the legal issues relating to the distinctive character of trademarks and related topics, in particular from the perspective of European Union law. and keywords The purpose of the thesis is to analyse the legal regulation and the system of registration of rights to signs, which are most commonly used on national as well as international markets, i.e. rights to a trademark, appellation of origin and a geographical indication. The aim of this thesis therefore includs definition of the registration system of the mentioned rights to sign with reference to their specifications, the registration ability conditions (taking into consideration the decision practise of the Industrial Property Office), as well as the different character of protection of their owners. Significant attention is also paid to the system of legal protection of the rights to sign with respect to the fact, that there exists the national, international and Communitary system of protection of these rights. The beginning of the thesis describes the structure of rights to sign, the corresponding specification of concept of intellectual and industrial property rights and it characterises the subject of industrial property rights with respect to the legal regulation, the conception of legal protection of industrial property rights and conditions of grant of protection. Organizational Identity

The paper deals with organizational identity in relation to organizational strategy. Based on the reserch questionnaire, the values inventory and the interview it was found that the strategy of the organization Lesostavby Třeboň, a. s. is in accordance with organizational identity further external identity orientation is coincident with internal identity orientation and this orientation is perceived by managers and technical-economic workers in the same way. The information obtained was summarized in tables and bar graphs, including the resulting recommendations for the company Lesostavby Třeboň, a. s.
